According to “Bild”, the body was found in a small forest, right next to the fence that separates the “Holstentherme” from a swamp area and a gravel pit.
Apparently it soon became clear: the man did not die of natural causes. According to information from Bild, he died from a shot in the head. He has not yet been identified.
The suspected perpetrator is said to be only 17 years old. He was arrested on Sunday and is currently in custody. The minor is strongly suspected of manslaughter, the police in Itzehoe announced on Monday. Police initially declined to provide further information about the suspect or motive.
The Itzehoe police took over the investigation due to indications of a connection with an unspecified crime in Uetersen in the Pinneberg district.
