Former OpenAi CEO Sam Altman is returning to AI developer, as the company wrote on X on Wednesday: “We have reached an agreement in principle that Sam will return to OpenAI as CEO, with a new initial board of directors consisting of Bret Taylor (Chairman ), Larry Summers and Adam D’Angelo.”
Altman was only fired as head of the company on Friday. The majority of the workforce was then threatened with dismissal, which would have meant the end of the company.
Sam Altman wrote of his return to X that he was “excited to be working at OpenAI again.” In recent days, his goal has been to keep the OpenAI team and its mission together. (SDA/a)
