A couple in London forced the woman’s stepfather to confess to the assault on camera, before the two murdered the 62-year-old and hid his body. Now a British court has sentenced the now divorced couple to life in prison for murder. The 32-year-old stepdaughter will spend a minimum of 18 years in prison, while her 48-year-old ex-partner, who has a criminal record, will not be released until 24 years at the earliest, the Old Bailey Criminal Court was told. ruled Monday.
The man visited the couple in August 2021. Shortly after his arrival, his stepdaughter sent a 47-second video to her partner’s sister, showing the 62-year-old in a ‘humiliating position’. In it, he said he had abused his stepdaughter when she was six and that he “deserved to be punished.” The court was convinced that the man was then brutally murdered. His body has not been found to this day. (sda/dpa)
