Javier Milei, the next president of Argentina

La Libertad Avanza candidate (far right)Javier Mileythe president of Argentina was elected from the following December 10, receiving 55.95% of the vote, with 86.59% of the tables counted, and defeated the ruling party Sergio Massa, who won 44.04% of the votes in the elections.

The official candidate for the presidency of Argentina, Sergio Massa, conceded defeat this Sunday in the elections in which his opponent won – even without the official numbers -.

According to information from the National Electoral Chamber (CNE), 76% of the 35.8 million Argentines eligible to vote in this second round went to the polls to choose between the official presidential candidate Sergio Massa and the leader of La Libertada Avanza (far right), Javier Milei .

If this turnout is confirmed in the final vote, which has only legal validity and will be completed next week, it would be the lowest turnout since the return to democracy after the last military dictatorship (1976-1983), and would be lower than in 2007. ., when 76.20% was recorded.

There is no objection to transparency
La Libertad Avanza, the political force supporting presidential candidate Javier Milei, said today that this Sunday’s elections in Argentina were conducted with full transparency.

“After experiencing an election day where our prosecutors controlled the direction step by step, we have nothing to look at, other than the things that came up during the day, that were brought up and resolved along the way.”

Although the party expressed suspicions about possible irregularities at the polling stations before the second round, Guillermo Francos, Milei’s spokesman, denied that they had occurred.

“There were no missing ballots, as some said. We managed to replace them on the spot.“, said Francos, who could be interior minister if Javier Milei wins.

Peace

Javier Milei appeared “calm” and “satisfied” after voting for a runoff between him and official candidate Sergio Massa, despite the “campaign of fear” he said his rival had waged against him.

“We are very satisfied. We have done a tremendous job despite the campaign of fear and the dirty campaign they waged against us,” Milei told reporters stationed at the gates of a university facility in the capital’s Almagro neighborhood where he cast his vote.

Miley, dressed in black with a leather jacket, was greeted by a crowd of supporters who surrounded the car he arrived in and chanted “freedom”, “president” and “caste is afraid”, alluding to his liberal proposals.

The economist voted quickly at 12:40 local time, and he left the bar to greet and raised fists in the company of his inseparable sister Karina Milei.
