Sometimes it’s worth listening to your gut feeling. One morning, British Ceri Roscoe-Roberts (42) felt like she absolutely had to buy a Euromillions ticket. 24 hours later she is actually a millionaire.
The mother-of-five from Wales initially forgot to buy a ticket for the special draw on November 3. Ten British millionaires would be chosen in the extraordinary draw. This was reported by the British newspaper The Mirror. Roscoe-Roberts quickly grabbed her cell phone and did so. The next day she woke up with the same feeling. «When I woke up, something told me that I had achieved a great victory. It was the strangest feeling ever!”
The 40-year-old checked her emails and saw what she had long suspected: she had actually won! “We’re millionaires,” she screamed in bed. Her husband (45) couldn’t believe it and advised his wife to take it easy first. When the 45-year-old saw the million dollar winnings with his own eyes, he was blown away too.
The couple didn’t even have time to call the state lottery because they had to get one of their sons to play football. So they all called together in the car. “We all heard the voice of the lady on the phone saying, ‘I can confirm that you are now millionaires!'” The 42-year-old was surprised her car didn’t flip over from all the screaming. “You always hear about stories like this, but I never believed this would happen to us.”
The manager of a home care institution and the boss of a golf course tell the newspaper that they do not want to give up their jobs. And what happens to the money? The couple says they want to afford a bigger house. In addition, both will have to drive their own car in the future. But what Roscoe-Roberts is most happy about is that a new family member will soon join the British family. The 42-year-old recently fell in love with a cocker spaniel.
