The entries on the online college forum at Cornell University in New York are dripping with hate. 21-year-old Patrick D.* threatens to ‘stab’ and ‘slit the throat’ of every Jewish “pig” man he sees on campus.
He fantasizes that he will rape all the Jewish women and fall off a cliff and behead all the Jewish babies. In the same online post, he threatened to “bring an assault rifle to campus” and shoot all Jews.
This brought the FBI to the attention of federal law enforcement, who arrested the man and are now investigating him. The 21-year-old was arrested on a criminal complaint of threatening to kill or injure other people, the report said.
If convicted, the suspect faces a prison sentence of five years and a hefty fine, the Justice Department said.
The anti-Semitic incident took place against the backdrop of the Gaza war between Israel and the Islamist Hamas. Since the terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7, the Israeli army has taken massive action against the Palestinian organization in the Gaza Strip.
Many people of Jewish faith study at Cornell University. According to the ministry, kosher dishes are mainly served in a university cafeteria. It is located next to the Cornell Jewish Center, where students live.
