On Tuesday evening, Apple presented and announced new Mac hardware at its special event with the tagline “Scary Fast.” Here you will discover the most important things.

What exactly has Apple introduced?

As expected, Apple’s M3 chips were in the spotlight during the half-hour online event. The new range includes the M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, which Apple says are “the first personal computer chips” manufactured using the more efficient 3-nanometer (3nm) process.

How much do the new devices cost?

The 24-inch iMac costs $1,299 in the United States with an eight-core CPU or $1,499 with a 10-core chip. They can be pre-ordered starting today, Tuesday, with sales starting on November 7.

The new 14-inch (approx. 36 cm) MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip starts at 2,149 francs (50 francs less than before), or 1,999 US dollars. The 16-inch (approx. 41 cm) M3 Pro model is available from 2,599 francs ($2,499).

These new MacBook Pro models can also be pre-ordered from today and should be available on November 7.

The M3 Max models should be available “later in November.”

In addition to the MacBook Pro models equipped with the M3 Pro or M3 Max, Apple is launching a cheaper 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the standard M3 chip that starts from 1,699 francs (or 1,599 US dollars).
