Israeli Ori Magidish is reunited with her family. She was kidnapped by terrorists on October 7 as they carried out bloody massacres in Israeli settlements. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have launched their ground offensive and are advancing. According to her own statements, Magidish, who is herself an Israeli soldier, was rescued.
According to Israeli broadcaster Arutz 11, the liberation operation had been planned for days. “The soldier has been medically examined, her condition is good and she has met with her family,” the IDF reported. In collaboration with the secret service, everything will be done to free all hostages.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (74) praised the action. Israel is making “systematic progress,” he said Monday evening. He also announced that the ground offensive was making strong progress.
The army says it assumes most of the hostages are still alive. Hamas is said to have kidnapped 239 hostages from Israel. This also includes foreign citizens. So far, four hostages have been released by Hamas – thanks to mediation between Hamas and Qatar. Magidish is the first to be released by the Israeli army. (jwg)
