Ismail Haniya has been head of Hamas’s political bureau since 2017. But he himself has not been to the Gaza Strip for years.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on October 13 called on residents of northern Gaza to leave their homes and move south. 1.1 million residents were told to leave their homes. Because: Israel is in a fight with the terrorist organization Hamas. But the terrorists are hiding among the Palestinian population. Hamas leader Ismail Haniya (60) responded to Israel’s warning and called on Palestinians to stay.

Hanija gives the orders from a distance. He has not been to the Gaza Strip in three years. He lives in Doha, the capital of Qatar, with his wife Amal and thirteen children. According to “NZZ Magazin” he owns a luxury villa on the beach there.

While Hamas carries out massacres in Israel on October 7, killing thousands of people, Haniya celebrates. Video footage shows him kneeling in gratitude as gruesome images of the massacre are shown on television.

The fact that Hanija can still move freely and travel to China or Turkey on a private jet is because he enjoys the favor of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. “Hosting the leadership of Hamas means we have a way to maintain communication and find peace,” said Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s foreign minister, while maintaining good friendship.

The head of Hamas lives a life of luxury while the Palestinian population suffers under the terrorist organization’s machinations. For example, an invoice shows that he spent no less than 26,000 euros in the spa for a short stay in a hotel in Doha. In April, Hanija invited thirty diplomats from Arab countries, Russia and China to break their fast during Iftar. The Taliban were also represented.

Hamas is one of the wealthiest extremist groups

“They put their children in private schools and their families in luxury villas on the Turkish coast. When they eat out, it is only in the best restaurants, where you pay up to $200 for a course,” Suheib Yusef, the imprisoned son of a Hamas member, told Israeli news channel Channel 12 in 2019.

Haniya has been head of Hamas’s political bureau since 2017. According to Egyptian media, he is said to have earned 3 billion francs during this period. And it’s not just Hanija who lives a life of luxury. The Hamas leadership is extremely wealthy thanks to donations from Iran and taxes on goods smuggled into Gaza. According to the US Treasury Department, the terrorist organization is one of the five wealthiest extremist groups in the world. (jwg)
