Corona skeptics in court in Germany: Man (21) shoots mother – so that brother is not vaccinated

At the height of the pandemic, the coronavirus caused a lot of strife among friends and families. In a German family the differences were so great that the son murdered his mother.

While the 54-year-old mother from Bavaria was vaccinated against the virus, her eldest son (21) became corona-sceptic after his vaccination.

On March 5, 2023, he struck after an argument with his mother. He first strangled her with a pillowcase and then shot her several times in the head with a crossbow. He then alerted the police.

“It couldn’t have been any other way”

Now the young man is on trial. The 21-year-old confessed on the first day of the trial on October 17. He wanted to protect his eleven-year-old brother against a possible corona vaccination, reports ‘Bild’.

“I felt sad that she gave me no choice but to resort to such drastic measures so that the same thing that happened to me wouldn’t happen to my brother. At one point my conscience was so overwhelming that there was no other option,” the murder suspect said in court.

No mercy

The German also used his conspiracy theories as a defense. “It’s all the result of aluminum formaldehyde and heavy metals injected into me.” But there may be little truth in the confusing accusations.

The Covid vaccines approved in the EU contain neither heavy metals nor aluminum formaldehyde: although formaldehyde is used in medicine as a disinfectant, some vaccines contain aluminum to boost the immune response. However, according to scientists, the minimum concentration does not pose a health risk, as ’20 Minutes’ writes.

Before the trial started, an expert had testified that the suspect was delusional. But according to the prosecutor, he was aware of the baser motives for his cruel act. The man said during the trial that he did not consider himself mentally ill. However, he also showed no remorse. The verdict will be announced on October 31. (gs)
