Shot and dismembered. A horrific case is currently causing a stir in the United States. Police found the dismembered bodies of four men who had been missing for about a week in a river near a small town in the US state of Oklahoma.
They all had gunshot wounds, Okmulgee Township Police Chief Joe Prentice said Monday night. The victims are Mark C.* (32), brother Billy C.* (30), Mike S.* (32) and Alex S.* (29), American media reported. The body parts in the Deep Fork River were discovered by a passerby.
“I have investigated more than 80 murder cases in my career. I’ve worked on multiple victim homicides. I had to deal with mutilations. But this case is the one with the most casualties, and it’s very violent,” Prentice added at a media conference.
There is no trace of the bicycles
The exact background and official cause of death are still unclear. The detectives are still puzzled. The four men may have met to plan a crime. Details are currently unknown. A witness told police that he had been invited by the men to participate in a lucrative coup for all. Neither the murder weapon nor the men’s bicycles have been found so far.
During the search, the investigators found evidence of a violent crime at a site near a scrap yard. However, the police did not give details. The owner of the junkyard is an interested party in the case, but has not yet been identified as a suspect.
The man initially cooperated with the detectives, but has since disappeared and is considered suicidal. Only his abandoned car was found in a neighboring town behind a shop. Okmulgee has a population of about 11,000 and is located about 60 miles south of Tulsa. (lrc/SDA)
