During a speed check by the Aargau cantonal police, a driver ignored the speed limit by 63 km/h. Three other cars were also driving far too fast.
On Wednesday, the Aargau cantonal police checked the speed on the route outside the city between Leibstadt and Schwaderloch. The speed limit on this stretch is 80 km/h. Only if the vehicles grossly exceeded the speed limit were the vehicles measured.
A Ukrainian (33) drove through the measuring point at 147 km/h. After all the findings, he exceeded the speed limit by 63 km/h and was found to be driving too fast. The Public Prosecution Service has opened proceedings against the driver. His car was temporarily seized.
Three other vehicles exceeded the speed limit at 39 km/h, 37 km/h and 31 km/h. The two faster drivers had to hand in their driver’s license at the checkpoint. Only the driver who showed even the slightest contempt was allowed to continue his journey. However, he should also expect his driver’s license to be revoked for several months. (no)
