US construction workers diss Trump with commercial Ukraine wants to build its own anti-aircraft systems – the night update without photos

Former US President Donald Trump wants to run for re-election in the autumn of 2024 – and, if he has his way, move back to the White House. In his speeches and on his social media platform Truth Social, he repeatedly portrays himself as a fighter for those who have been left behind. His motto ‘Make America great again’ started an entire movement: the Magas.

The idea behind it: the US must regain its supremacy and expand it further, at all costs. You don’t want migrants in the country and you don’t want to pump money into NATO or Ukraine. America first, the rest of the world second.

Trump currently has numerous lawsuits pending, but he also wants to fight them on behalf of his supporters. As he continues to emphasize, the charges are a political witch hunt. At least in its own truth.

To demonstrate his connection to the workforce, Trump just visited Detroit’s high-profile automakers. He mainly used the stage to rail against the electric mobility industry – and against President Joe Biden, who also visited the picket lines.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:

“If the UAW ‘leadership’ [Anm. d. Red: Gewerkschaftsführung der Autobauer] “Don’t SUPPORT me, and if I don’t win the election, the automakers are elated and our great truck drivers will follow.”

Unions disappointed in Trump

The Rebuild USA initiative, which advocates the modernization of the US – i.e. construction projects – has now put an end to Trump’s anger. Together with the United North American Construction Unions, they are campaigning against the former president with an advertising clip.

You can see construction workers and repeated sequences of Donald Trump. A male voice explains: “The hardworking men and women in the construction industry have this man [Anm. d. Red.: Donald Trump] got an opportunity because he told us he wanted to stand up for the workers.” But every time the unions approached the bargaining table, Trump was unwilling to make a deal.

“It was embarrassing,” says the voice in the video. So the workers moved on. And then: “And now he wants his job back? Let’s be honest: if he was really interested in the construction industry or in reducing production, he would have had four years to do so.”

What would Trump have done instead? His millionaire friends were rewarded with tax breaks even though they didn’t even pay their employees fairly, the video says. In 2018, Trump introduced a tax break for the wealthy. The speaker concludes: Trump is a performer. But: the construction sector is much more important to the country than Trump.

“He wears self-tanner, we build America,” says the spokesperson. And apologizes to Trump: “Sorry, this truck runs on diesel, not snake oil.”
