In the case of the missing 15-year-old in Alsace, emergency services searched several houses, cars and containers at a landfill. The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Saverne said on Friday that it was a “coordinated, large-scale operation”, as the newspaper “Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alscace” reported.
Forensic scientists therefore examined six cars at different locations in the vicinity of the young people’s home. A residential building and a house under construction were also searched. The renewed search initially yielded no results.
The 15-year-old disappeared on Saturday during the three-kilometre walk to the train station in Saint-Blaise-la-Roche. The teenager actually wanted to go to Strasbourg to see her boyfriend. However, she didn’t get there. Two witnesses saw them on their way to the train station. But investigators know the 15-year-old didn’t even board the train. At the beginning of this week, about 400 residents also participated in the search for clues about the youngster. On Wednesday, divers from the German-French water police searched a pond. (sda/dpa)
