Chechen leader and Putin friend Ramzan Kadyrov is currently doing everything he can to put an end to rumors about his health. Apparently he is not in a coma or even dead, as has been widely speculated in recent weeks. To see that his health is anything but good, just take a look at the videos he recently published on his Telegram channel.
The Chechen leader, known for his brutality, is already intensively busy transferring power to his descendants. Kadyrov regularly stages his sons with weapons and in warlike scenarios. This impression is especially reinforced in connection with Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, in which Chechnya is a close ally of Vladimir Putin. Family violence is apparently part of the worldview, as Kadyrov’s contributions suggest.
On Telegram, the 46-year-old also repeatedly gives propaganda updates about the war in Ukraine, in which his army supports Putin. There too he regularly writes about alleged successes. Apparently, however, not everything goes as he would like. Because Putin’s friend is constantly begging for money on his Telegram channel. Sometimes by desperate means.
Videos of tanks, images of drone attacks on Ukrainian territory, belligerent slogans: His Telegram channel is literally overflowing with war updates and patriotic statements. For example, Kadyrov writes in an article that he is of course prepared to “die for his homeland and Russia”. Or that Russia is great with the “Power of Allah”. He also describes the Ukrainian army as “fascists and nationalists”.
He makes no secret of the fact that Kadyrov constantly needs money, especially for his army. He’s practically begging for it on his Telegram channel.
Chechen head of state Ramzan Kadyrov has often stated that the Chechnya region is dependent on subsidies from Moscow. Kadyrov is considered a close confidant and supporter of the Kremlin. He is also called Putin’s ‘bloodhound’. “As long as Putin sits on his gilded throne in Moscow, Ramzan Kadyrov will remain as close to him as possible.”writes political scientist and analyst Aleksandar Đokić at euronews.
Apparently people in Chechnya also want to keep their heads above water with donations. In addition to propaganda slogans, Kadyrov asks for money almost every day – sometimes several times in one day. There are messages that sound friendly: “You can also help our army by sending money via the link.”
On other days he thanks people for donations received. “Patriots sent a thousand rubles,” he writes. To encourage his followers to donate, Kadyrov uses simple means. For example, he calls donors by name and thanks them by posting a message on his Telegram channel.
It’s not just the amount of news that shows how urgently the military needs money. The tone that Kadyrov sporadically adopts is also urgent. This week he writes: “Support our army. We need it.”
On days when he is apparently anything but satisfied with the willingness to donate, Kadyrov sounds plaintive: “Only two people sent money yesterday,” he wrote. And again he asks his subscribers to send rubles. To post another similar message three hours later: “We will not increase the broadcast limit above ten rubles, so that everyone can participate and at least help our army in some way. Let’s see how many patriots there are.”
And then: “That’s not much. I wonder how many people would be willing to donate money.” He does everything for the Russian army and demands “support”.
