Four members of a Greek rescue team and three members of a Libyan family have been killed in a car accident in the disaster zone in Libya, according to Libyan authorities.
A minibus carrying 19 Greek aid workers collided with the car of a Libyan family of five, Othman Abdel Jalil, health minister of Libyan authorities in the eastern part of the country, said on Sunday. A total of fifteen people were injured, some seriously.
The Greek Foreign Ministry confirmed an accident involving Greek aid workers on their way to the Libyan port city of Darna, without providing details. The Greek Consulate in Bengazi, the EU and the United Nations are ready to help.
At least 11,300 people have been killed in the Libyan port city of Darna and about 10,100 are still missing, according to the UN.
