A donation of more than 300,000 euros was received in Last Generation’s account on Friday.

With their actions, the activists of the climate alliance ‘Last Generation’ not only anger many citizens, but also risk serious problems with the judiciary. Time and again they have to pay high fines or high compensation demands for their actions.

The Climate Alliance can really use all the financial help it can get. The Last Generation is therefore drawing attention to their fundraising campaign online with their ‘GoFundMe’ campaign.

On Friday afternoon, the organization received more than 300,000 euros in donations. The large part was paid by the South German entrepreneur Peter Denk (57). His donation is astonishing. The entrepreneur seems to have little use for the last generation, reports ‘Bild’. “I think the climate actions are bad,” he told the newspaper.

“I couldn’t think of a better option”

Instead, he would like to see a change in strategy. But he himself has no alternative solution: “When Carla Hinrichs, the spokesperson for the Last Generation, asked me what other form of protest I would recommend that would be even half registered by our politicians, I could not think of an alternative. better option.”

Instead of doing nothing about climate change, the best solution seemed to be to lend his support to the Last Generation. So it happened that the total in the donation account increased in one fell swoop from 302,483 euros to 604,966 euros.

Ten percent of turnover goes to organizations

As the report goes on to say, this is not the first time Denk has donated to social organizations. The bicycle engineer and founder of the development agency “Denk Engineering” regularly donates ten percent of his company’s turnover to various organizations. (dzc)
