Magnitude 7 earthquake in Morocco left more than a thousand dead

“With all my heart with the Moroccan people in the face of the terrible earthquake that took hundreds of lives last night,” the president wrote European Commission (EC)Ursula von der Leyen, on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“My thoughts are with the families of the victims, with the injured, to whom I wish a speedy recovery, and with those who are in charge of providing first aid and who are doing an admirable job,” concluded the German politician.
