Now the victim of the horror accident shows himself for the first time, as “Bild” reports. The reason for this is the amount of more than 180,000 euros that was collected online for the young man.

“Bring Back the Old Life”

The victim’s brother-in-law started the fundraising campaign immediately after the amputation on the field. More than 4500 people donated a sum of money.

Emergency operations in the field

The accident happened on August 19. The 25-year-old was mowing. As he is about to empty his machine, he notices that a manger was clogged with grain.

So the man who works for a local estate climbs into the machine and tries to unclog it. He slips and gets caught with both feet in two counter-rotating transport screws.

His legs are trapped and the young man screams in pain. Field workers immediately sound the alarm. Just minutes after the emergency call, the police, fire brigade and a rescue helicopter arrive at the scene of the accident – ​​but they are unable to free the man from the machine.

The only solution to save the man’s life: an amputation of both legs. A surgical team from Rostock University Hospital is flown in and sets up a mobile “operating room” on the field. The operation is successful, both legs are amputated and the man is flown to hospital. (babe)
