Three Kenyan women have been arrested in Thailand.

At the airport on the Thai holiday island of Phuket, police seized nearly three kilos of cocaine from three Kenyan women – hidden in their vaginas and bellies. The drugs have a total value of about ten million Thai baht (about 260,000 euros), the Bangkok Post newspaper reported Thursday, citing the security forces. The women, aged between 26 and 34, were detained at the airport and scanned following a tip from the Narcotics Control Board. At first, officials noticed nothing unusual.

But X-rays at a local hospital later showed that the suspects not only swallowed capsules of cocaine, but also inserted containers of the drug into their vaginas. The women were arrested for drug possession and transferred to a police station. (SDA)
