Brothel is looking for “girl tester” – horror in Austria Kiev: 20,000 Ukrainians could not escape – the night update without photos

At a major intersection in the middle of Graz there is a poster that is currently causing a stir throughout Austria. The brothel “Maximus” advertises for applicants: “We are looking for staff!!! ‘Girl tester’ », it is written there. There is now a shitstorm against the operators, Austrian media report.

The poster hangs on the outside wall of the club on a through traffic route. The goal: to attract attention, the operator told the radio station “Antenna Steiermark”. The advertised job is about “mentally preparing applicants for this tough job – probably ‘the’ toughest job in the world” – not about assessing their suitability as a prostitute. He further explained: “Financial difficulties, lack of prospects or flights from abroad should not be a reason to take the road to prostitution.”

However, advertising for brothels is generally prohibited in Styria, according to the Graz consultant for women and equality on the portal “meinbezirk.at”. The text was also “deeply inhuman and distasteful”, she was surprised “how sexist people dare to put up public posters these days”. The term “girl” is also problematic, even though it is common in the erotic industry. “Of course it’s a reference to pedophilia.” She assumes that there will be a complaint against the operator.

Austrian Women’s Minister Susanne Raab (ÖVP) also told Heute newspaper that legal action is being investigated together with the police. “Reading this makes my stomach turn.” The poster was “incredibly disgusting, misogynistic and inhumane. Presenting women and girls as commodities to be ‘tested’ glorifies violence and is dangerous.”

The brothel operator told Antenna Steiermark that he wanted to redesign the poster. Instead of “girls” there should be “ladies” in the future. In short, he wants to stick with the campaign.
