A 67-year-old hunter from Great Britain has been shot dead while hunting wild boars in Brittany. A shot from her companion’s gun struck the British woman above the heart, justice reported on Sunday. She was taken to a hospital in Saint-Brieuc but succumbed to her injuries.
The responsible prosecutor, Nicolas Heitz, announced that the 69-year-old gunman had initially been arrested. Due to his health, he had to go to the hospital. The exact circumstances of the fatal hunting accident have yet to be clarified, Heitz said.
