Olaf B.* (62) was well known in the Thai Pattaya environment. As a member of the rocker group Outlaws, the German was also considered a rough man. The police consider him the main perpetrator of the murder and mutilation of the German real estate dealer Hans-Peter M.* († 62) on 4 July. The charge is first-degree murder. In Thailand, this can even be punishable by death.
After an interrogation, in which B. refused to testify, the German went into hiding. The police issued an arrest warrant. The rocker’s escape was short-lived.
A video now published captures the action. On July 11, special forces, dressed casually in shorts and body armor, stormed the headquarters of the Outlaws rockers in Bangkok.
Searching the property only takes about two minutes. Then B. is discovered in a niche. “Get out, get out!” they yelled. “Come out, come out!” With guns pointed at himself, B must show his palms.
With a blanket in his hand, the visibly exhausted rocker scrambles out of the corner and faces the police officers. This forces him to the ground. Handcuffs are placed on his stomach.
Since the arrest, B. refuses to make a statement. The two alleged German accomplices are also silent – Petra G.* (54) and Nicole F.* (52). According to the indictment, G. lured the victim into a trap. F. rented the house where M. was first blackmailed, then robbed and murdered that same evening.
A fourth arrested, a Thai-Pakistani dual national, is the only one to work out so far. He was forced into complicity by the gang and his family was threatened. The younger man was arrested as he tried to escape across the green border into Myanmar.
A lawyer for the suspect, meanwhile, claimed that the victim had suffered from heart failure and simply collapsed and died during a meeting. This meeting would be a party for a VIP, G. assured the arrested Thai-Pakistani before the crime. The victim M. was deceptively lured into his death trap.
To prevent bloodstains, the victim was first frozen and then sawed into 13 pieces. The individual parts were secured in a chest freezer, along with refrigerated soft drinks.
But the perpetrators acted amateurishly. According to the police, they managed to secure a complete chain of evidence with traces of blood, DNA samples and important evidence such as cigarette butts. Surveillance camera recordings also document the movements of the arrested persons in detail.
