Authorities advise not to let domestic animals outside while the alert is in place

On Thursday, Berlin police warned the population of several districts in the southeast of the city about the presence in the area of ”a big cat» – of which he indicated that it could be a lioness – which they are looking for with the help of helicopters, veterinarians and hunters.

The alert followed one launched by the authorities of the nearby city of Brandenburg, who asked the population of the affected areas to do not leave your homes.

The Berlin firefighters, for their part, have requested that domestic animals are not allowed outside while the alert lasts.

There is currently no news that zoos, circuses or animal parks have reported the loss of a lioness.

The Federal Civil Protection Service also announced an alert which limited to the districts in the south-east of Berlin such as Zehlendorf, Steglitz, Tempelhof, Marienfelde, Buckow and Rudow.
