Large-scale operation between Berlin and Potsdam: the police are looking for an escaped wild animal on Thursday morning. Police are warning residents of the towns of Kleinmachnow, Teltow and Stahnsdorf in southern Berlin before leaving their homes.
As a police spokesperson confirmed to t-online, it probably involved a lioness. Two police helicopters have been searching all night. It is still unclear where the wild animal came from. “In the region, no zoo or circus is missing such an animal,” says the spokesperson. Animal welfare experts with stun guns are also on hand.
A video circulating on Twitter and also shared by the Berlin newspaper “BZ” is intended to show the wanted wild animal. However, it is not yet clear whether this is really a shot of the lioness. (Darling)
