Passengers on a flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta had to wait four hours in a completely overheated plane.

Temperatures approaching 45 degrees, many people in a small space and a malfunctioning air conditioning: when the passengers of a Delta Airlines plane in Las Vegas boarded the plane to Atlanta on Monday, they had no idea what would happen to them in the coming hours.

A passenger described the experience to the American television channel “ABC”. “It was just traumatizing.” The woman reports that some passengers suffered from severe nausea after standing on the tarmac for four hours. “They had to wear an oxygen mask.” Video footage shows ambulances and fire engines surrounding the plane for a quick response.

Others fainted and required medical treatment. “Some people wanted to get off but didn’t do so for fear of missing the flight,” the woman told the television station.

There is no guarantee of a new flight when you disembark

Because: the passengers were informed via loudspeaker announcements that they could disembark, but there was no guarantee that they would get a new flight connection. The crew of the plane has formally apologized to the passengers through an announcement. You would suffer from the situation yourself, not feel well and be in the same boat as the passengers. In the end, the flight to Atlanta was canceled.

Delta Airlines has launched an investigation to clarify the matter. In a statement, the airline wrote: “We apologize for the experience our customers had on flight 555 from Las Vegas to Atlanta, which ultimately resulted in a flight cancellation.” The Delta teams would investigate the conditions that led to the unpleasant temperatures in the cabin.

Passengers were told to be back to Las Vegas Airport by 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. However, this flight was also cancelled. (A)
