Extremely mysterious object washes up on beach in Australia Swatch is suing Malaysia for seizing rainbow watches

In Australia, experts puzzle over the origin of a mysterious object that has washed up on a beach north of Perth.

It is a kind of cylindrical can made of light carbon fiber material, which is almost three meters high and 2.5 meters wide, ABC reports Tuesday. A detailed check by experts found that the object was safe and posed no danger to people, police said. However, local residents have been urged to stay away from the mysterious, gold-colored part.

Meanwhile, the Australian Space Agency also tried to help with the identification. “The object could have come from a foreign launch vehicle,” the agency wrote on Twitter. “We are in contact with international partners who may be able to provide more information.” Western Australia state officials were ordered not to guard the cylinder “to ensure the preservation of potential evidence and to facilitate further expert review”.
