What she should have done is hard to imagine. Lucy L.* (32) is said to have murdered seven babies in Britain. This was while she worked as a nurse in the NICU at Cheshire Hospital from June 2015 to June 2016.
She allegedly killed the children by injecting air, milk, insulin or other liquids such as saline or water. She has had to answer for this in court since October 4. She is also charged with attempted murder of ten other newborns.
Lucy L. appeared in court for the first time on Thursday. She is unaware of any guilt and denies all charges, British media reported. But the evidence contradicts them, as the Daily Mail writes.
Employees became suspicious
All the preterm babies were doing well under the circumstances when they were in the care of Nurse Lucy L. It was only then that the children’s health deteriorated dramatically – in many cases due to shortness of breath and insufficient oxygen saturation in the blood.
This was also noted by other hospital staff. One night in February 2016, a doctor entered the room where Lucy L. was treating the premature babies and became suspicious. The child was rescued and died two days later after being transferred to another hospital.

Unbelievable: Lucy L. would have photographed deceased children in their bed. Afterwards, she expressed her condolences to the distraught parents and even comforted them.
Her latest victim survived an attack on June 25, 2016, the indictment said. The Briton was subsequently suspended before being arrested the following month.

After her arrest, investigators also found piles of yellow and green sticky notes scribbled on disturbing news. They are said to have said, “I’m mad, I did it,” as revealed during Thursday’s trial.
The words “Hope, Panic and Fear” were written on a piece of paper. And: «I will never have children or marry. I’ll never know what it’s like to have a family.” Some of the other scribbled lines contain the word “hate” in capital letters, along with “There are no words,” “I can’t breathe,” and “kill.” .
