Ground staff and flight crew of two airlines in Italy are on strike on Saturday. The airline Swiss therefore cancels 20 flights to and from Italy in Zurich. 1952 passengers are affected.
As far as their telephone number or e-mail address is known, the airline proactively informs passengers and makes rebookings on request, Swiss announced on Friday at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.
Passengers who have booked online or through a travel agent should contact the providers.
Swiss had to cancel two return flights to and from Milan, Venice and Florence. In addition, there is no return flight to and from Rome, Palermo and Catania.
Airline Edelweiss is less affected by the strike: its flight from Zurich to Catania departs half an hour later than planned. Her other four flights to Italy will begin before or after the strike, she said. In Geneva there is no rotation to Catania.
