Reports: Trump’s son-in-law Kushner questioned by special investigative team Thailand’s first election: Top candidate Pita misses majority

According to media reports, investigators have interviewed Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former adviser, Jared Kushner, for their investigation of the former US president in the aftermath of the 2020 election.

Kushner testified before a jury, the New York Times and US broadcaster CNN reported Wednesday (local time), citing unnamed sources. CNN also reported that Trump’s closest confidant and adviser at the time, Hope Hicks, was also questioned.

The New York Times reported that Kushner was questioned in June. Both his questioning and the questioning of other witnesses in recent weeks have raised the question of whether Trump had privately admitted losing in the days following the election. According to the New York Times, citing a source, Kushner testified that he was under the impression that Trump really believed the election victory had been “stolen” from him — that his successor Joe Biden had not legitimately won.

To this day, Trump refuses to admit defeat. On the day that the US Congress was to confirm the Democrat’s election victory, Trump supporters stormed the seat of parliament after an inflammatory speech by the Republican to prevent the transfer of power.

The U.S. Justice Department appointed independent special counsel Jack Smith in November to oversee the Trump investigation. He is not only responsible for the investigation into the post-election events and Trump’s role in the storming of the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. He also led the investigation into Trump’s handling of secret government documents, which has already led to to the indictment of the ex-president. It is eagerly awaited when Smith’s investigation into Trump’s role in the attack on the Capitol will be concluded, whether charges will be filed and, if so, for what crimes.

Like his wife Ivanka Trump, Kushner was a close adviser to the former Republican president in the White House. American media reported in February about the subpoena of Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
