So far, the search for Mr. Right gone completely wrong. In her desperation, a woman from California now hopes to finally find the man of her dreams through a Tiktok call. Eve Tilley-Coulson (35) even offers a “linking fee” of $5,000 (equivalent to CHF 4,300) – but only after she says yes.
Tilley-Coulson lives in Los Angeles and works as a lawyer. Finding the right man just hasn’t worked out so far. She has been single for five years. And then she got an idea. “A while ago I told my friends I would pay them $5,000 if they introduced me to my husband,” the 35-year-old told the New York Post.
She then shared her offer on Tiktok. She already has a large reach on the video platform that she can use. Specifically: more than 100,000 followers. “If you find me a man who will walk me down the aisle later, I’ll pay you $5,000. You get to keep the money if I don’t stay married for long or if I get divorced after 20 years,” she explains in her Tiktok -video.
The video went viral in no time. A few applications soon trickled in. 25 men reported. However, so far nothing has come of this. “I haven’t had a date yet,” Tilley-Coulson told the New York Post. But people are certainly motivated to help.
The 35-year-old has firm ideas about what potential husband candidates should bring. “The only real physical requirement I have is that it has to be tall, because I’m tall,” the lawyer explains. She herself is 1.77 meters tall. Therefore, the candidates must be at least 1.80 meters tall. “I’ve dated guys who were insecure about my size and asked me not to wear heels and it didn’t make me feel good.”
As she gets older she is more flexible. Her husband-to-be should be between 27 and 40 years old and sporty. Other requirements are: a sense of humor, not afraid of conflict, monogamy and “the ability to fool yourself”. Use of hard drugs and political and religious extremism are a ‘no-go’ for the blonde. Tilley-Coulson: “My ideal man has the vibe of Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl or Matthew McConaughey.”
On the other hand, she is flexible when it comes to later residence or the number of children – “as long as there are at least 2!”. She would also (initially) be willing to have a long-distance relationship. However, she would only pay the reward if “the man’s name is on the marriage certificate”. (jmh)
