Long list Ellen: Russian expert sums up military problems on state television

Ironically, military correspondent Daniil Bezsonov fired at the Russian military leadership on Russian state television.

Again and again it is said that the Russian army is not doing well. For example by Russian soldiers or the Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigoschin (62) himself. Now the military correspondent Daniil Bezsonov is also criticizing the army – on Russian state television.

“First of all, I would like to say that there is no such thing as mass desertion in the Ukrainian army. Otherwise, our fighters will not have to perform heroically in all directions,” he begins his statement. For him it is clear: if it were true that Ukraine does not have enough soldiers, then “the situation would not be so tense”.

Drones, boats, medicines – it is missing everywhere

But he sees the problems not only with the opponent. But also in the Russian army – on a systematic level. According to Bezsonov, there would be a lack of closed means of communication and medicines, among other things. He says: “The war has been going on for a year and a half. There are still problems with medical care».

ETH’s military strategist explains the tactics the Ukrainians are now using against the Russians.

In addition, Bezsonov explains to the viewers that there are problems with unmanned aerial vehicles: “I’m talking about light drones used for reconnaissance or ammunition dropping”. But that is not everything. The military vehicles are also defective, the Russian explains: “Most vehicles have worn tires.”

But it is not only in the air and on land that equipment is lacking. Soldiers also search in vain for boats on the water, explains Bezsonov: “Two months ago, agents from the Kherson Directorate reported to the responsible general that there were problems with motor boats. The answer was: there are no boats, build a fin.”

Soldiers don’t rotate enough

Bezsonov sees another problem in the rotation of Russian soldiers. He explains: “For some reason, the enemy manages to change units every two to three months. If a unit has taken casualties, it is completely removed and another unit is moved to it.” The Russians see it differently. Soldiers would not rotate efficiently – and would fight at the front for too long. Bezsonov says, “Units that take casualties , don’t rotate. We just fill them with reservists. And the surviving fighters don’t get a break.”

However, Bezsonov’s solution is less clear-cut than his critique. When the moderator finally asks if a new mobilization is needed to solve the rotation problem, the military correspondent replies, “I think the command should decide.” (Mrs)
