OceanGate is under investigation after the submarine implosion while diving to see the remains of the Titanic

The American company OceanGate, the manufacturer of the Titan submarine that suffered a implosion in mid-June when he was diving to visit the remains titanicreported this Thursday that suspend your activity. Without providing further details, the company posted a banner on the front page of its website announcing the suspension.

The company confirmed this with a message on its website, in which it warns that it is canceled “all commercial and research operations” after the submarine’s fatal implosion, resulting in the death of five passengers on board.

On June 25, the US Coast Guard announced an official investigation to find out causes of implosion and Canadian authorities are implementing another.

The goal is prevent it from happening again event and for that a commission of experts is trying to find out what happened to the submarine that exploded on June 18, and was discovered after a multi-day search for the remains in a rescue operation in which several countries participated and which caught the attention of millions of people around the world.

The committee of experts can also make recommendations to competent authorities on the imposition of civil or criminal sanctions.

The Titan, a small submarine about 6.5 meters long, was the last to sink June 18 observe the remains of one of the most famous shipwrecks in history, the Titanic, and had to return to the surface about seven hours later, but lost touch two hours after departure.
