Israel ends military incursion into Jenin after two days of offensive

The attack resulted in twelve dead Palestinians and evident signs of destruction

The Israeli army ended this Wednesday the military operation that started on Monday in the city Jenin, the largest launched in the West Bank since the second intifada, twenty years ago, and it claimed lives ten people and more than a hundred wounded.

Military sources reported that “forces operating in the Jenin refugee camp have left and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have returned to routine activities in Judea and Samaria, the biblical name for the West Bank.”

The operation, which the Israeli media called as House and garden, started in the early hours of Monday morning, by land and air. The main objective of the raid was, according to the army statement, that the place was “not a safe place” for “terrorists” before increase in violence in recent months, with 50 armed attacks so far this year.

The Palestinians are coming back
