The Belarusian president assured the head of the Wagner Group that the Russian army can “crush him like chewing gum” and offered him “full security guarantees”

Between insults, demands and concessions negotiations were conducted between the leaders of the mercenary group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhinand Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenkostop the uprising of a Russian paramilitary group against the military elite.

In a speech he gave to the Belarusian army, the Belarusian president offered a schedule of these events during last Saturday.

08:00 local time: “They are starting to arrive alarming information about the situation in Russia,” said Lukashenko, who was informed by the Federal Security Service and the State Security Committee that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to speak with him.

10.10: Putin “exhaustively reports on the situation taking place in Russia”, indicated Lukashenko, who asked his Russian colleague “not to rush”, because Putin was ready to “crush” the rebels. Lukashenko convinces him to enter into negotiations with Prigozhin.

The head of the Kremlin also assured that the head of Wagner does not pick up the phone and does not want to talk to anyone.

11:00 a.m. The Belarusian president asks Putin how to communicate with Prigozhin and around noon establishes three channels of communication with Wagner’s boss: “I answered right away”.

Prigozhin very excitedly expressed his demands: “the first round of negotiations lasted Only 30 minutes between swearing. There were ten times more tacos than a normal lexicon,” says Lukashenko.

The head of Wagner is demanding the extradition of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov, whom he accuses of betraying Russia and of being responsible for the deaths of thousands of soldiers in Ukraine.

He is also looking for an appointment with Putin.

Lukashenko answers that “No one will hand over Shoigu or Gerasimov under these conditions”. “You know Putin as well as I do, he will not meet with you or answer your phone under these circumstances.”

After two rounds of negotiations, Lukashenko realizes that Prigozhin is ready to give up his demands and warns him that if at least one civilian is killed, he will immediately end the negotiations.

In addition, he warned him that if the advance of the Wagnerites in the direction of Moscow continued, Minsk would send a brigade to defend the capital of Russia “as in 1941”in relation to the Second World War.

Meanwhile, Russian regular forces are preparing several lines of defense with more than 10,000 troops to defend Moscow.

Lukashenko warns Wagner’s boss that the uprising could lead to bloodshed and yes Russia has enough strength to “squish it like a bug” despite the fact that the Russian army is “busy on the Ukrainian front”.

16:00: Prigozhin tells Lukashenko that he is ready to accept the terms and asks for his advice on how to prevent an attack by regular Russian forces on the mercenary column, already 200 kilometers from Moscow.

The Belarusian president establishes contacts with the director of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB, formerly KGB), Alexander bortnikovto coordinate the retreat of the Wagnerites.

It also offers “full security guarantees” to Wagner’s boss, which includes a transfer to Belarus for him and his fighters.

Around 20:00 the talks end. Prigozhin coordinates with Bortnikov the withdrawal of his men. The column of the Wagner group turns around and begins to return to its bases in Moscow and the city of Rostov-on-Don, in southern Russia, which the Wagners have taken under their control.
