82 percent of workers and trainees would continue, according to the research published in Hamburg on Wednesday for the Lottoland Group about the dreams of Germans.
However, half of them would work under different conditions. 29 percent dream of fewer weekly working hours. Just under one in five would quit their job and stop working. The most common dreams in professional terms include a lot of free time outside of work and a high salary. 52 percent of those under 30 associate dream jobs with high salaries, compared to just 32 percent of those aged 50 to 59.
Twelve percent would be in a creative profession if they won a lot of money. One in ten would like to be the head of a large company. Younger participants in the study in particular found this job interesting. A quarter thinks a socially relevant activity is worth pursuing. The professions of chancellor, models and golfers end up at the bottom of the list. Only four percent would like to be famous.
82 percent of survey participants would give up unpopular household chores if they had enough money to do it. With 45 percent, most think about cleaning. Nine percent would stop ironing and eight percent gardening. Almost everyone would like to continue doing their own laundry. Only three percent would also like to do without shopping. For the study, one thousand people aged 18 and older were interviewed by the market research institute Toluna in September.
