“I thought I was going to die, I was going to drop dead. I was absolutely in shock and still am,” says a visibly struggling Kayla Shyx. With her YouTube video published on June 5, the 21-year-old amplified the scandal around the sex system at Rammstein concerts and described details that allowed for further media coverage.
As we know today and could also prove through research from t-online, the targeted offer of young women for Till Lindemann’s needs was not only with Rammstein – Alena Makeeva, the self-proclaimed “casting director”, also played a central role in Lindemann’s solo tour Role. Kayla Shyx two weeks ago criticized the Russian’s “devious” nature, reporting how disturbing her experience was at a Lindemann backstage party after a concert at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
Now the influencer is turning to the public again with a video about the cause. “It’s definitely scary,” she says of the reaction to her “What Really Happens at Rammstein Afterparty’s” video. “When I saw how many people saw the video, I started to cry.” Her testimony has now been viewed almost 5.5 million times on YouTube. More than 52,000 comments can be found under the video alone. On social media and beyond, Kayla Shyx has become one of the faces of the scandal, alongside Northern Ireland’s Shelby Lynn – naming the allegations against the rock star.
While Rammstein is still touring Europe, Till Lindemann is giving tens of thousands of concerts, things are moving. Since last week it has been announced that the public prosecutor of Berlin has started an investigation against the 60-year-old man himself and against another suspect, Alena Makeeva. These include allegations of sexual crimes. Lindemann has his lawyers say the allegations of abuse and allegations that the rock star drugged women are “untrue”.
Meanwhile, Kayla Shyx broadens her horizon – and now describes an experience from her past that lasted longer than a visit to the Rammstein concert. She calls the video “The aftermath of the Rammstein problem”. “I was sexually harassed and violently attacked at the age of 17 by someone in my circle at the time, whom I saw as a friend,” says the 21-year-old. She “didn’t report it” and “forgave” the man for being a friend.
Only later did she realize how bad the incident had been. “The memory of that night when I was sexually assaulted came out of nowhere and I started crying,” Shyx now recalls in her video. When exactly that was, she does not say. However, she appears to have been about 20 years old when she reconsidered her childhood experience. Because elsewhere she describes: “Three, three and a half years later I had to go to trauma therapy.”
The reason was “post-traumatic reactions”. She suffered from “panic attacks”, “caused by various things”. Kayla Shyx also reports on sleep disturbances. “Three and a half years” after you turned 17? In terms of period, this corresponds to the year 2022, or to be more precise: the middle or end of this year. On June 4, 2022, Shyx attended Rammstein’s concert in Berlin. Whether the experiences there were responsible for your trigger? A request from t-online to your management in this regard will initially remain unanswered.
Exactly what happened when she was attacked when she was 17 remains largely vague. “I fought back, I told him to stop, I tried to push him away, I hit him,” says Kayla Shyx at one point. It was later “incredibly difficult and frightening” for her to realize that she had “no control” over the situation. The man wouldn’t have let go of her and wouldn’t have stopped even though she said “no”.
She only realized much later that she had been the victim of an attack. “You think at this point it’s easier to let it go. We’re so socialized and want to protect ourselves that way,” says Shyx. Better to “make a scene”. But she herself was afraid of “how this person would react”. Now the influencer is appealing to her audience: “Please fight back.”
Bruises, including what looks like fingerprints from being grabbed, maybe. I don’t know when these bruises started because I was so crazy under the influence of something. This is from the night of and the morning after #shelbys69666 #Rammstein pic.twitter.com/wvv4fwDB16

That’s what she learned in her trauma therapy: “Your gut feeling doesn’t cheat, you have a right to listen to your gut feeling,” says Shyx. In another situation she apparently experienced later that has nothing to do with the incident when she was 17, she was able to learn from her experience, says Kayla Shyx at the end of the video. “I have filed a complaint against an adult man who has been extremely disgusting to me, who has sexualized me, who has insulted me.”
However, nothing ever came of it. Nevertheless, Kayla Shxy says, citing statements from a police officer: Such advertisements are important – because if there are more such allegations, a pattern will emerge and the investigating authorities will notice. The prominent Till Lindemann case shows: Here too, there was only one alleged affected person with Shelby Lynn, but after more and more women made accusations, things got going.
