Things are getting tight for Top G: Human trafficking lawsuit against Andrew Tate is extended After alleged kidnapping: Kosovo closes borders to Serbian vehicles

The noose around macho influencer Andrew Tate is slowly tightening. The Romanian prosecutor’s office, DIICOT, stated that the trial against Tate, his brother Tristan and two Romanian accomplices is now “human trafficking in a continued form”.

All four suspects were informed of the new situation on Monday, according to DIICOT. Follow-up human trafficking is more serious than the normal variant and can be punished in Romania with up to 10 years in prison, the BBC reported on Wednesday.

Tates’ legal team said on Tuesday the change was in the legal interest of their clients: “The legal framework has been reviewed and amended to ensure an impartial investigation,” it said in a statement.

But the change in charges isn’t all there is to it: Another victim has been added to the investigation. Now there are seven women who accuse Andrew Tate and his cronies of setting them up and sexually exploiting them.

Romanian prosecutors are expected to issue an indictment later this month outlining the formal charges against the brothers and their associates – which would mark the start of a trial.

Face tattoos as title deeds

A separate investigation was also opened against a Romanian. Like the Tates, the man named Vlad Obuzic allegedly lured young women using the “loverboy method” and then forced them to create pornographic content on the Onlyfans platform. He would have made the profit himself. Particularly curious: Obuzic would have asked the victims to tattoo his name or face to prove that he was the owner.

Apparently the Tates and Tattoo-Obuzic were friends. The British tabloid “The Sun” describes him as the brothers’ “best friend”. Images of the three unholy people loitering and smoking cigars can be found on social media. Obuzic would have previously said that the Tate brothers are a source of inspiration for him.

Obuzic also had an online academy, similar to Andrew Tate’s Hustler University. There he sold overpriced courses to make a quick buck – the target audience were mainly young men.

Now «The Bomber», as Obuzic is called, was arrested by DIICOT on Tuesday. According to a corresponding press release, 13 premises were searched for this purpose. Whether and to what extent Obuzic now contributes to the Causa Tate can only be speculated.

Rape charge pending

Parallel to the developments in Romania, there are now concrete accusations from Britain towards the “Top G” Andrew. Lawyers representing four British women delivered a letter to the Tate estate in Bucharest on Wednesday.

In it, the alleged victims accuse Andrew Tate of rape, aggravated assault and coercion. The allegations relate to a period between 2013 and 2016 when Tate was still living in England. Three of the women had complained to authorities years ago, but no lawsuit was ever filed.

The letter gives Tate 14 days to respond to the allegations. After that period, the victims’ lawyers would file a civil complaint with the Supreme Court. According to one of the lawyers, Tate would not accept the letter.

A representative for Andrew Tate told the BBC that Tate was “sad that some opportunistic women he reportedly associated with nearly a decade ago are trying to take advantage of his current situation”.
