A Spanish tourist drowned when he was swept away by the sea current in Bali

The deceased was with another Spanish passenger who could have been saved

AND 36-year-old Spanish tourist he drowned on Sunday when he was carried away by the sea current in Indonesian island of Balias reported on Monday by the local authorities and collected by Efe.

The visitor was swimming with another Spanish traveler at around 16:30 on Sunday (10:30 in mainland Spain) on the beach ungugalanin the far south of Bali, when they asked for help, according to a compilation of events by police in Denpasar, the island’s capital.

Other people who were on the beach jumped into the water to help them and managed to pull the woman out alive, but they were unable to revive the man after giving him first aid for about half an hour, according to the police statement.

A team of rescuers went to Nunggalan, a sparsely populated and difficult-to-access beach, to evacuate the deceased, the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) said in another statement. This body indicates that the survivor is out of danger and does not need hospitalization.
