Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But this year’s win “Mrs. Russia”, many people consider unworthy. A wave of pure hatred rolled over Natali Oscar from the Russian city of Khabarovsk after she was named the most beautiful married woman on Monday.

That she won was “a pity” and a pity for the “really beautiful women”, is the tone in the commentary columns. Normally, the criteria for elections are very high. The participants need a certain size, figure and are only allowed to participate up to a certain age.

This year the criteria have been relaxed. “It’s not a contest for models, it’s a contest for married women,” the organizers said. Mothers who “are as they are” should be able to participate. The oldest participant was 62 years old.

Oscar also convinced with inner values. She is an English teacher, writes and sings songs. With the song “I’m your Mrs. Russia” she sang her way to the hearts of the jury. But viewers apparently weren’t ready for the inner beauty. “It’s a humanoid!” someone writes. The main criticism from the viewers: Natali Oscar is too old and sprayed.

“You are entitled to your opinion”

Natali Oscar triumphed against 82 competitors to secure the title. In addition to the prize money, she qualifies for the international beauty contest.

The winner takes the hate calmly. “It’s their opinion, they’re entitled to it,” says Oscar. In addition, it is completely natural and does not require major interventions. “I train with a trainer two to three times a week. I watch my diet and don’t eat sweets,” she explains.

Organizers admit unfavorable photo

Since all the hatred never ends, the organizers of the competition had to respond. “It’s an unflattering photo,” said Irina Kirsanova, one of the organizers of the competition, about the image circulating online.

Kirsanova was surprised by the audience’s reaction, after all, the jury unanimously decided on the Oscar. In addition, she looks very different “live” than in the published photos, says Kirsanova.

“She is a mother, a very smart girl, she has a good knowledge of English, a good figure, beautiful hair,” said the organizer. She sees good chances for Natali Oscar at international competitions.
