Everyone gambles away in the big WWM gambler special – except this long-term student

On yesterday’s edition of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” there were almost only losers. Günther Jauch really didn’t make it easy for his candidates: the three-hour gamer special had special rules.

Until the question of 16,000 euros, no joker could be used. If you really don’t know the answer, you can use one – all others will be forfeited. That was the downfall of some. For example, the first candidate with the illustrious name Hans vom Ende. The sales manager fails this 4000 euro question – because he refuses to accept a joker:

Hans taps the clove zasterne uncertainly from the end. He’s wrong – it’s the moss roses. After all, it only falls to 1000 euros – instead of the usual 500. Finally, the amounts are doubled on most winning levels in the gambler special. So “at the end” (attention, pun) would have waved a whole two million instead of just one. With the emphasis on having – because no candidate even came close to these realms.

Two women tried after the sales manager, they also failed: Mariel Weigel took home only 8,000 euros and Anke Mikalauskas failed because she used the extra joker before the 16,000 euros level – then gambled away without a joker. But it was also a tricky question, where she immediately ruled out the correct answer:

It would have been Ariel, the little mermaid.

In addition to zoo employee Jörg Riehemann, who is at least 64,000 euros at the end of the program and still two jokers, it is an eternal student who collects the largest amount this evening: Niklas Buhl is in his 13th semester bachelor in business administration and succeeds with Günther Jauch in order not to shoot a joker to the required level.

The 27-year-old is not ashamed of his long university stay, but of something else. Six years ago, Buhl had both upper arms tattooed. On Monday, he admitted on television that he has kept the tattoos a secret from his father to this day.

“Sorry, Daddy!” the student apologizes while showing his tattoos. For his hot seat performance on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” On the other hand, he does not have to apologize: Buhl is the only one to free up 64,000 euros. would you have done that too?
