Drama in “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”: The psychologist goes down with this Titanic question

Since James Cameron’s blockbuster, everyone knows the drama about the passenger ship RMS Titanic, which sank in the North Atlantic on April 15, 1912. Now – almost 111 years later – psychologist and midwife Karin Weiden is experiencing her own personal loss in connection with the ship.

The interrogation in the RTL studio with Günther Jauch could not have started better. Weide goes through the first seven questions in almost record time and without the joker. But then comes this nasty question:

“Monet just came to mind, but it’s B, Van Gogh. Certainly not the others,” says Weiden. Jauch sits on the hose, but asks to be sure: “Safe?” The psychologist confidently says no. “Well,” says Jauch when he sees the correct answer. It is Pablo Picasso. Jauch says goodbye to Weide and her prize money of 500 euros with the “encouragement”: “Fortunately, you are a psychologist and you know how to handle the situation to go.”

Let’s turn to a more joyful meeting. A journalist also took the hot seat with Tobias Rümmele. Rümmele’s confrontation with Günther Jauch is a lot more successful, he goes home with 64,000 euros.

Despite several attempts by Jauch to upset the journalist, he climbs the question ladder fairly relaxed. Finally, even the moderator of the quiz is working up a sweat: “Three pranksters and even the question of 64,000 euros, uncomfortable.”

But then comes the matter of inducement and the candidate needs two of his three remaining pranksters. Someone from the audience saves Rümmele from the predicament and gives him the correct answer. But Jauch immediately raises the next big question: Who cares about anchor, comma or grasshopper escapements? The public doesn’t really know either. The journalist leans towards a speech therapist, but ultimately does not dare and says goodbye with 64,000 euros. Good thing, because it’s the watchmaker.

Rümmele wants to use the money to buy a new car. His old one no longer has a fuel gauge and no brakes, but it does have “butt antlers”. (lion)
