Want to enjoy the Easter traffic? We have 10 activities for you

Sergio Minnig

What would Easter be without the usual Easter jam? Nice, exactly. But yes, in the end the people who spend their Easter in traffic jams are somewhat to blame. I mean, come on, what did you expect that there wouldn’t be traffic jams this year? But whatever, that’s not what this story is about. It’s about how to kill the waiting time. After all, we are also a service portal. Here are a few ideas for you.

Safety always comes first!
Remember that in all entertainment, safety always comes first. Please ensure that all suggestions below do not cause unnecessary distraction or disruption to the driver.

Because you usually cannot move in traffic jams and there are always the same people next to you, you can use this to your advantage. How about a staring contest with the person in the other car? Just give it a try and see (yes, pun intended) if anyone responds.

Benefit: If your opponent finds it funny, you can meet new people.
Disadvantage: If your opponent doesn’t find it funny, you can meet new people.

Anyway: Please note that misunderstandings may arise and your escape routes will then be relatively limited.

Most songs can be found on YouTube or Spotify and you can read the corresponding lyrics (on YouTube you simply enter the name of the song plus “karaoke version”). Whether you sing solo or in a choir, singing loudly releases endorphins (at least for the singer). Very importantTalk to everyone in the car first to see if everyone really wants to do karaoke. Otherwise, it could become torture for some. #savethedriver

Our recommendation:

A game that is almost as old as the earth itself. Since you’ve probably played it before, this text doesn’t serve as an explanation of the game, but rather as a reminder that it still exists. Maybe your carpool can even play more than one round. Since that’s probably not the case, move on to the next idea.

Let’s face it: it feels like you’ll never need 80 to 90% of your videos and photos on your phone again. No, not even the concert videos you made. It’s enough if they live on in your memory. So clear out your cell phone storage.

As soon as the cell phone’s memory was erased, it was immediately refilled. Take advantage of the opportunity and good daylight (at least ideally) to take fun photos of yourself and your friends. With hashtags like #worldtraveler #roadtrip or #go on adventure You can also share it on your social media channels and it will look incredibly interesting and unique. Yes, yes, really.

The more blatant and unusual your poses are, the more likely you are to get likes. Probably not from your followers, but from the car next to you who films you while you take a photo and then upload it yourself. But hey, likes are likes.

Version 1:
Everyone in the car chooses a color (for example: black, white or many others). A number is then agreed upon (for example 20, 50 or many others). Everyone then counts out loud the cars in their chosen color on the opposite color track and the first to reach the agreed number wins.

Variant 2:
Everyone in the car chooses a color (for example: black, white or many others). A timer is set (e.g. 1 hour, 2 hours or many others). The person with the most cars of the selected color on the opposite color track wins.

Yes, neither variant is exactly the pure definition of excitement, but you will be stuck in traffic for hours, so be happy with any way to pass the time.

You already know that you can spend hours on Watson with the best entertainment and the most important news, otherwise you wouldn’t have landed on this story in the first place. What you shouldn’t forget, of course, is to vigorously discuss the stories in the comments section (the gif above is really just symbolic). Of course, you are also very welcome to submit your employment ideas to us. So let’s put it in the comments column.

*Read very quietly* The silent game, especially popular with parents of many children, actually speaks for itself with its name. Who can remain silent the longest? And no, there is no referee!

The world record of doing nothing, including not speaking, is held by Akshinthala Seshu Babu of New Delhi. He managed to do nothing for 36 hours and 45 minutes. Well, let’s hope the file is sufficient.

(no, of course not that boring at school)

Speaking of world records: choose a “Günther Jauch of the car”. He then googles bizarre world records and facts and presents them as a quiz. A few examples:

But you don’t necessarily have to reinvent the wheel; you can also use our quizzes here.

… or also called “listen to a podcast”, basically contains all the lines from Punk 7. The difference is that you also listen to an exciting, funny or interesting (ideally all three) podcast.

There is a suitable podcast for all (yes, really all) topics. But if you’re too lazy to look, maybe this is something:

Tax law podcast from the University of St.Gallen (HSG)
