The “Vision Pro” does not solve this problem either

The release of Apple’s new VR glasses is causing heated discussions in the tech bubble. It is the first time in a long time that Apple has ventured into a new product category. The company has a certain reputation when it comes to making products suitable for the masses. The smartphone, the tablet, the smartwatch… None of these products were invented by Apple, but as soon as the Apple version was available, the categories boomed. Many hope that the Vision Pro will revive the VR market, which has long been declared dead every few years.

In fact, Apple convinces with its new device in almost all categories. The display, the eye tracking, the video passthrough – everything is as good as the current state of technology allows.

But many users have noticed something since the device was first presented. There is not a single photo of an Apple official wearing the glasses. Why?
Because VR glasses always look stupid.

But Apple also has another reputation, and that is that of a very, very loyal customer base. Moreover, its products are considered a status symbol for many. This combination creates a completely new phenomenon: VR glasses in public. While only a few would have appeared in public wearing Oculus or Valve glasses, it’s entirely possible that the Vision Pro will be normalized outdoors by eager Apple customers.

The first videos after the release certainly indicate that. We’ll see if it actually spreads or stays with a few eccentric users. Until then, we can still laugh about the new phenomenon.
