Swiss Classic World from 2 to 4 June 2023: More than 700 classic cars here

For anyone with gasoline and a sense of beauty in their blood, it’s worth making a trip to the exhibition center in Lucerne from Friday. Swiss Classic World 2023 will be held here from June 2-4. Classic cars and motorcycles will be focused on for three days. Organizer Bernd Link concept: vehicles are presented authentically and without fear of contact, unlike noble events such as Villa d’Este on Lake Como or Pebble Beach, California.

Highlights of this year: an auction car held by the Toffen vintage car dealership on Saturday, where 50 cars will go under the hammer, from the Autobianchi A112 (estimated: CHF 10,000) to a replica of the legendary Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 “Rote Sau” rally. To the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach package (290,000 francs). On Sunday, a youngtimer rally will take place from the Ebikon LU to the Swiss Transport Museum in Lucerne and then to the trade fair. And on June 3 and 4, the Kiwanis Clubs of the Canton of Lucerne invite you to ride in classic cars: under the motto “Drive for Kids”, children can take a tour for free as a passenger, and adults for a donation at least CHF 20 per return trip. The departure is always in the exhibition courtyard; revenues benefit Kinderspitex Central Switzerland.

200 exhibitors, 700 vehicles

Additionally, vintage car dealers and mechanics offer and sell their classic vehicles (200 exhibitors, over 700 historic cars and mopeds). And there are other exhibitors with accessories, spare parts, accessories, literature and model cars and, of course, restaurants to linger on. Most of the old ones are even for sale. Runway events also provide information on trending e-fuels, synthetic fuels that even decades-old vintage cars can use to generate CO.₂-Can be operated as neutral.

Anniversaries of “75th year of Porsche sports cars” and “75th of VW in Switzerland” will also be important topics. A special show presents vehicles from the Swiss Museum of Transport collection at the Brighton Veteran Car Run in London. The event is the world’s oldest motorsport event for vehicles manufactured before 1905.
