There is another member of the Ora cat family. Following the Ora Funky Cat, an electric mini clone already on the roads in Europe, the Chinese are showing off another clone, the Ballet Cat, at its home game at Auto China in Shanghai, open until next Thursday.

It’s not hard to see that Ballet Cat was inspired by the VW Beetle. What should interest all car enthusiasts: Ora Ballet Cat’s electric motor delivers 172 hp (126 kW) and 250 Nm of torque, allowing a top speed of 155 km/h. Depending on battery size (49.9 or 60.5 kWh), the electric China Beetle has a range of around 400 or 500 kilometers on one battery charge. Cliché beetle prices in China start under $30,000. However, Funky Car experience shows that this price cannot be adapted in a 1:1 ratio. We’ll probably have to add a few thousand more in Europe.
