Young people get a certificate in artificial intelligence

A total of 250 young people underwent a one-year training for new occupations related to technology.

Students performed pdirected projects in solutions for post-pandemic economic reactivation, applicable to companies, communities and society in general.

These Panamanians have successfully completed the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) program, which is for the latter promotion A certificate for artificial intelligence was awarded for the first time.

This second SIC course started in August last year and over the course of six months, the students had a total of 280 academic hours of programming in Python and artificial intelligence.

Graduates are trained for filter and optimize databases, using classifiers with machine learning and deep learning, as well as creating routines that autonomously process data.

It should be noted that these 250 students are qualified as data scientists with an emphasis on Junior Artificial Intelligence, which enables their development software, focused on the classification of audio text, images and patterns through neural networks.

The program, launched in 2019, offers a curriculum that covers practical skills in technological capabilities, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, big data and a foundation course in software, coding and programming skills.

In Latin America, the first dishes of this program they were implemented in 2020 in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. And as of 2021, the program has expanded throughout the region, reaching more than 1,900 students in 14 countries, including Panama.
