Title decision made at Auto Zurich

Nadia Brülisauer (35) is the biggest favorite of the Simracing Porsche Cup in the Ladies category. After the third overall standings in 2021, he is clearly in the lead before the final race this season. He won all three races in the virtual cockpit of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 on the Red Bull Ring (A), Nürburgring-GP (D) and Misano (I) digital racetracks.

Of course he now wants to win the final on the virtual course in Mugello (I). It could then be celebrated as Swiss Simracing Champion 2022 with a flawless streak of four race wins. But the final run poses another challenge. It will be driven in public at Auto Zurich on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13. In turmoil, it will be decisive who can concentrate better and be less distracted.

Brulisauer puts a lot of effort into his hobby. “I train for at least an hour three to four times a week,” the e-athlete admits. And just like real racing, sim racing is all about deepening track knowledge, matching the digital car as ideally as possible to the virtual racetrack and analyzing vehicle data.

85 percent realistic

“Simracing is about 85 percent realistic,” says Nadia Brülisauer, comparing virtual races to real races. He must know. Prior to his Sim career, he spent nearly every weekend at the Nürburgring and raced a Suzuki Swift on the Nordschleife. His passion for esports went so far that the former marketing employee of a major car importer dared to become self-employed and opened his own simrace center with six racing simulators with his partner in Aargau.

“The biggest advantages of virtual racing compared to real are the significantly lower costs,” says Nadia Brülisauer. There are neither spare parts nor travel expenses on race tracks abroad. “Most importantly, it’s much less dangerous. After a crash, you just hit ‘Reset’ – and it’s back on the road with a new car.”
