Beware of WhatsApp scams!

Don’t believe those job opportunities or that extra cash you could easily have in your hands, when the news reaches you via WhatsApp.

Experts warn that cybercriminals contact their potential victims via Instagram and WhatsApp usurping the name of an e-commerce store called “Shopee”.

Cybercriminals mimic the features of a legitimate grocery store e-commerce call “Shopee”luring unsuspecting users with enticing promises such as earning large sums of money in one day by selling seemingly genuine products.

They start the scam by involving the victim in the ua type of group An Instagram show where someone introduces themselves as “Shopee Recruitment Director” and offers a job for a tempting amount.
