What do these markings on tires mean? We decrypt this information for you.

  1. Tire width in mm
  2. The ratio of tire height to width in percentage. 65% of 195mm
  3. Tire type. R = Radial tires
  4. Rim diameter in inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm)
  5. Load index (91 = 615 kg per tire)
  6. Maximum recorded speed index (H = 210 km/h)
  7. Creator and profile name
  8. DOT plate according to US regulations. The number symbolizes the production date. 0809 = 8th week 2009
  9. Tubeless = tubeless / tube type = tubed
  10. Snowflake symbol indicates winter suitability
  11. M+S (Mud and Snow) are winter or all-season tires
  12. ECE test mark for European standard (14 is the country name of Switzerland)
  13. Run Flat (tires with run-flat features)
  14. Wear indicator (on tread)
